ways to travel in any country. Millions of people travel daily and the waiting
rooms are like the lifelines of the entire railway system. It is a safe haven
where people can pass their time while waiting, and in extreme cases of
emergency, they can even sleep the night through. It is extremely important
that a waiting room should be clean, hygienic.
Read on for a few ideas on designing a railway
waiting room:
1.
Exterior – The exterior of a waiting room is as important
as the interiors so try to beautify that as well. Brick slips is an excellent
material for using in a waiting room. To make matters easier, you can even buy brick slips online.
2.
Comfortable Seating – This is one of the most important elements.
Include the maximum number of
well-cushioned and comfortable chairs. Avoid wooden or plastic chairs as they
can be uncomfortable to sit for longer periods of time.
3.
Proper Lighting – While designing a railway waiting room, always
include as many sources of natural light as possible as it is extremely
comfortable for people. However, additional lights are required when it gets
dark, so include the optimum number of lights required. Avoid using yellow
lights as it is difficult to read.
4.
Artwork – An artwork will add some extra value to the
waiting room. You can design a gallery wall to display all artworks. You can buy timber cladding online for the gallery wall. Abstract paintings look
great in waiting rooms.
Include some options for snacks and beverages along
with some reading options to enhance the waiting room. A washroom inside the
waiting room is also very important.
